Support the Jake Gibbs Memorial Endowed Scholarship in Civil Engineering
Established in January, 2022 by Thompson Engineering Inc., the Jake Gibbs Memorial Endowed Scholarship in Civil Engineering was developed to honor students pursuing a degree obtained by Mr. Jake Gibbs, who graduated from South Alabama in 1993 with a degree in Civil Engineering. Mr. Gibbs was a loyal alumnus and continued supporting the College of Engineering post-graduation. He went on to work for Thompson Engineering Inc. for 20 years and was instrumental in the company's growth and development. This endowed scholarship was established to provide financial supplement to help the awarded student pursue an education and obtain a Civil Engineering degree.
